Gentle Relief
Anxiety does not mean you are broken
Anxiety can feel frightening, exhausting, or confusing. It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you.
Often, anxiety is the nervous system trying to protect you—even when it overreacts.
A gentle way to meet anxiety
- Slow down the moment (even slightly).
- Soften the struggle with what you feel.
- Choose one kind response instead of forcing certainty.
You don’t have to feel calm to be kind.
Reminders (read slowly)
I am allowed to go slowly.
My body is doing its best.
This moment can be met kindly.
If it feels like too much
When anxiety feels intense, aim for something very small:
- Look around and name 3 neutral things you see.
- Exhale once, a little longer.
- Say inwardly: “Safe enough.”
That is enough for now.
